I ordered the strawberry lemonade which she bought to me in a regular glass and on the rocks. I asked the waitress if it came crushed instead of on the rocks. When the waitress took our drink order I inquired about the strawberry lemonade in the volcano glass. The bad part is no matter how good the food is, bad service ruins the meal. I ordered the admirals feast and my wife ordered the shrimp. told me to try the stuffed mushrooms so I ordered the mushrooms and my wife got the nachos. We were seated almost immediately, Someone had. We happened to be in Sebring late in the evening and decided to treat ourselves to Red Lobster which is usually out of our price range for supper. My wife and I have not been out much recently. We enjoyed our meals enough to plan to return soon and often. It needs a good cleaning, but the table was clean and you do have to accept a certain risk anytime you eat out. This lead us to inspect the condition of the restaurant. Fortunately, there was nothing sharp, but Booth 25 needs repaired. Concerned that she might be hurt, I traded seats with her and warily took the broken one. My wife was about to take her seat when I stopped her because I saw the cushion was torn open. There was supposed to be sour cream as well but the only other thing on my plate was a serving of Tartar sauce, I would have preferred cocktail sauce but the tartar was above average, consisting of mayonnaise, dill juice, sweet peppers, and what may have been bits of carrot. I love Clam Strips ($9.95.) Mine were tender, fried with tempura, and served a house salad (iceberg lettuce and fine cubed tomatoes) served with a blue cheese dressing and a baked potato loaded with butter. She found them needing something and took the remainder home where she added □ Broccoli, more onions and cheese and baked a casserole. Soy-ginger-glazed Atlantic salmon, served with quinoa rice and a fried dish of Brussels sprouts & onions, mixed with spring mix and edamame soy beans salad, with sesame vinaigrette.($13.95) She rated the salmon "one of the best" she had ever eaten, enjoyed the rice, and ate some of the Brussels sprouts which were sliced into medallions and blackened along with the onions. After trying several other area restaurants and not finding it, she found it listed at Red Lobster, a place we normally avoid because we went there once, looking for lobsters, and left when they told us the price.įortunately, they. We went to the local roadhouse around the corner and had a fabulous meal with excellent service. Obviously they lost our business last night. As we were getting into our car the hostess came running out the front door of the restaurant but she made no attempt to apologize or even ask us if we would like to come back in. After another 5 minutes the hostess still had not reappeared so we decided to go elsewhere. I came back out and continued to wait with my husband to be seated. This is a HUGE deterrent under normal conditions, but during COVID, this is a glaring red flag as to how seriously the establishment takes cleanliness and the health of their staff and guests! While we were waiting for her to come back I popped into the rest room which was gross - sticky floors, broken locks, NO SOAP, and dirty surfaces in general. It appeared that she might have known the customer based on their conversation. us come in and proceeded to seat the customer who was ahead of us. The hostess was talking to another customer when we walked in. It was around 7:30 pm so we didn't expect a long wait. My husband and I stopped by Red Lobster last night to grab a quick dinner our first night in Sebring.
